Subject: RE: JD or International cultivator?

We just sold a JD 8x30” flat fold. Plant 16 rows & never had an issue with it pulling crooked. Ours did have 2 disc stabilizers & had gauge wheels on the main frame & wings. It was danish tine with 5 shanks per middle except outside which had 3.

We still have a CIH 16x30” danish tine 183. It also has 5 shanks per middle. Nothing wrong with with the 85 but IMO the 183 is a better cultivator. It’s the 3rd danish tine that we have owned. Also at one time owned a IH 133 cobra shank row crop cultivator. Surprisingly, the danish tine will go into hard ground better than the vibra shank.
