I cringe when I read or hear "college is a waste of time and money". I certainly utilize my chemestry and biology BS degree while farmiing. I recall an aunt chiding me "If you are going to be a dumb farmer why go to college? " my response was
"I don't want to be a dumb farmer I want to be a smart farmer". Training when you are young does not only teach you how to make a living but also how to live. I maintain today I learned to enjoy music and the arts.
All of these things can be learned for free now. No need for a degree. |
