Sioux County, NWIA | Ever hear the possibly apocryphal story of the Demco gravity wagon that shucked both front hubs when they hit the pavement of highway 18 coming into Boyden from the south? Demco got involved right quick to make that go away . . .
Former parts manager from local dealer said the Demco 365s were so bad about breaking front spindles he kept a dozen of each side on hand . . . Had a little row with a Demco engineer about why there were so many failures . . .that conversation was prompted by a local insurance agent coming to him wondering why they an absurdly high number of claims from those particular wagons.
