I have a 2023 Case Vestrum 130 with the Active8 multi-controller, but no fancy touch screen display. The wiring harness is there for it. I see some used ones on ebay and Tractorhouse for pretty cheap compared to the dealer. What I don't know is can I just plug it in and it works or will I need to go to the local Case dealer and pay them to program or turn a feature on. I'm only using it for tractor functions and not GPS, auto-steer, etc.
Anyone know or what to look for? Thanks
Unless the display you buy happens to come with the software you need already loaded (highly unlikely but not impossible), you will need your local Case IH or New Holland dealer to load the software using their dealer service tool. What they charge for this is up to them. Be aware that you might also need software updates to some of your vehicle controllers to ensure compatibility. All the computers have to play nicely together. |
