| I'd agree with Pofarmer, staple to sides of joist when running parallel to it and either run them towards the outside or nail a couple 2x4 along side of them for protection. I'm not sure you want to drill through the trusses because that may compromise the truss. Locally the electrical code does not address any protection in the attic, probably because a person is only up there very rarely so damage is unlikely. | |
