Why? 98% of the kernels are split, holds good in a pile, sheds water. I don’t need it any finer. Wheat, barely the same. Works for us, gains are good and minimal digestion issues.
I missed the comment about an 1/8” screen, yes that would slow it down considerably.
This is for a dairy operation. Not sure on the exact science behind why, but dairies want an extremely fine grind. 350-400 microns is the target for most of our dairy customers. |
