If we were anywhere nearby, wife and I would love to join you.

We eat for nutrition, enjoyment, and full satisfaction, and we do not waste food.

We enjoy meat, dairy, grains, vegetables, and fruit.

Almost all our meals are made from primary ingredients - no fast food or prepared foods.

We truly enjoy beef and pork (thank you beef and hog producers).

We use soy oil (thank you soy bean producers) and we also use butter, lard, and bacon grease (thank you dairy producers, and thank you again hog producers).

We use sugar for baking and preserving (thank you beet and cane producers), a fair amount of corn syrup (thank you corn producers), and and 1/2 gallon of maple syrup each year (thank you to our own very dear friends in Vermont).

We eat a fair amount of bread and pasta (thank you wheat producers) and a fair amount of potatoes (thank you potato producers).

We eat plenty of eggs (our own ducks and chickens) and vegetables we produce ourselves (lettuce, tomatoes, cabbage, broccoli, onions, spinach, string beans, ...), fruit and berries from our orchard and gardens (apples, pears, plums, peaches, apricots, cherries, figs, strawberries, raspberries, boysenberries, blueberries, ...) and oranges and lemons from our greenhouse,

We also drink a fair amount of wine from California, beer from Missouri, Colorado, and Wisconsin, and just a bit of distilled spirits from Kentucky, Tennessee, and elsewhere.

Yes, at age 74 and 71 we are somewhat overweight, and delighted to live in a time and place where food and drink are abundant.

We plan to continue to eat and drink as we please, we don't judge others, and we really don't care what the food critics say.

Perfect! HA
