Subject: RE: Four wheelers

We've tried them all, had bad luck with two Honda Ruibcon Forman Ranchers top of the line bikes in 2015'. Loved the bikes, but had problems with a $3.50 shift pin in trans. Couldn't get dealer to fix or warranty them. Owned for four years and got rid of them. Went to Can-Am Outlanders 450 with power steering 4x4 in 2019'. Newest one is a 2024' 500 Outlander.

Sure love the ride and hold back with belt drives in mountains. Own four of them, replaced a fuel pump in our 18' and one 19' models both went out around the 6,000 mile range. Was able to make them home but you could tell there was a problem. Only blowed one belt on one of the 19' machines. It was chained up calving in deep snow. Also blowed belt off 2019' Polaris Ranger same time chained up. Was same cowboy riding both machines that month.

I just priced Honda vs. Can-Am spec'd the same two weeks ago. From local dealers. Can-Am was $1,000 cheaper. We ride them hard, abuse them hard. I've rolled two of them over, you can't tell it happened to them. We've got a great Can-Am dealer number one reason switched to Can-Am and Ski-Doo sleds.

It all really boils down to dealer support what you ride in my opinion. However whatever we ride it has to have power steering, independent suspension, auto shift, 4x4. However the most reliable bikes will have manual shift and soild axles.
