Farmington, Mo | We have just under 40 acres of alfalfa this year and I have a deal with our local Feedstore to supply 800-1000 bales per year.
Old order Mennonite community who are next door approached me about selling them small squares out of the field…we bale and drop on the ground and they do all the manual work.
Initial offer was 60% of the price I get from the Feedstore, but I don’t have to move them to storage, store them or deliver them…just grow, mow, rake and bale.
I think it’s a fair price but just curious what others do or have experienced? | |
