Use your natural analytical skills and take a deep dive into the economics of that plan. You will find that it is not feasible., especially starting out with a large sum of debt to modernize.
I don't think you mentioned what the current herd size is, but if you love the cows and don't have any immediate plans to start a family, maybe the answer for you is to run 50 cows yourself, and have a neighbor run the land to provide you with feed? I know of a couple of guys that are bachelors running small dairies alone and doing quite well for themselves. | |
