That's odd. I got mine from the Atlanta FED as well but the graphic has the added explanation of:
"GDPNow is not an official forecast of the Atlanta Fed. Rather, it is best viewed as a running estimate of real GDP growth based on available economic data for the current measured quarter. There are no subjective adjustments made to GDPNow—the estimate is based solely on the mathematical results of the model." source
That graphic is based purely on "mathematical results" of the GDPNow model. The consensus estimate for 2025 GDP growth is 1.4%. I'm not trying to be mean. I dont think you had all the information when you posted that graphic. I think the mobile version cuts off the explanation from it.
