Thanks for the detailed explanation, Redwrench. I don't plan on using a 3 point planter, but thought this mod might help with the issue of such an exact flow adjustment to run a vac planter motor or even a hydraulic spray pump with the number 1 valve. I assume this will lessen the chances of sending the hydraulic system into high pressure standby, thus reducing oil heating and making things easier on the tractor in general. If you were to use a 3 point planter with this mod, do you really think the hydraulic pressure would drop so much that seeds would fall of the disks?
