 | I am dealing with it right now also. Many people deal with it for months, or even a year before it gets better. Stretching, rolling it on a tennis ball (or lacrosse ball if you can stand it), icing are necessary. I have two pairs of shoes that are pretty comfortable right now, and one is a walking shoe. The first time I had planter fasciitis, I used a gel heal cup that really helped, but it doesn't help now. Kinesiology tape does seem to help a bit. If you're not familiar with it, YouTube has many videos on how to apply for PI. The really important thing is to apply it when your foot is flexed. I try very hard to walk properly, following through from heel to toe because that gives a natural stretch in the foot. Because I am focused on walking properly, I'm walking slowly right now because it hurts.
