North central SD | Dad always said if cattlemen would put an implant in their feeder heifers instead of a bangs tag we could hold good prices. Around my immediate area, I don't see cattle expansion happening, actually I have seen some fences coming out and more pasture getting farmed. Cash rent on farmland is still better return than pasture. Farmers with their big heated shops aren't going to put cattle in them, and it will be difficult working cattle in flip flops. | |
