We spray 10 gal of 32 preplant, then all other nutrients come from manure. We've done that for a long time. You have to take lots of manure samples to know the n levels, though. Occasionally we get a low one and have to add some N.
Here in MN applying 270 pounds of N and then adding more would get the attention of the PCA and you feedlot permit would be questioned.
Sidedress N after hog manure?
