Subject: RE: Corn root burn from nh3

Southeast WI
We don't deal with ammonia here anymore and I've only seen that issue a few times - of course it was spring nh3 and in dry springs. We got good rains after corn emergence so it was a favorable environment for the nodal roots to develop and didn't lose much corn.

Do you have good soil moisture now for nodal roots to develop decently? If so I'd sleep better.

As plowboy said its June, especially in your locale, can you really replant there? Here we really shouldn't go past June 10 for grain and realistically June 1 we need to call it.
