I used to go right by your place hauling beans to Clayton and dry fertilizer back. That was "my" run. I always called the road from Garnavillo to Clayton the "goat path", but it really is a good road. Talked to some of your guys over there.
The first time my wife rode along with me (her first ride in a semi), she was hanging onto the door armrest pretty tight, with all the twisting and turning. Coming out of the mine she couldn't see the river over the hood of the W9, so it was an intense few minutes on her part.
Did that for several years before I left the co-op. I miss that run. | |
