Southern Missouri | We are so scrutinized with our spray pattern because it’s tons of rice herbicides this time of year and spray pattern on that is so crucial, xag has done a good job of getting software updates done and the 150s are doing great , but we just can’t fly wider than 18 to 21 ft swaths , that’s around 10 ft height , we really feel like the spray pattern worsens when ground speed is as high as the 150s ground speed is and if you tell it it’s doing a 28 ft swath at a fast speed, it has to pump the water at a higher gpm flow than it does if your flying at same speed and tell it you’re doing an 18 ft swath , there’s just not near as much water hitting the spinners per second when it’s doing narrower swaths , it’s probably just us but man we’ve tried everything because the rice farmers do NOT want streaks and we don’t blame them , so on we go with 18 to 21 ft and around 10 ft height | |
