Callao Missouri | Yeah macon syrup is hit or miss. Last year i got a load of lemonade from them and was pretty disappointed. The next load was much better. Matter of fact we were busy so the load set on the truck and trailer for a week and cooled down. Finally went to unload one rainy day and it wouldn't pump. Toop the hoses apart and the cow pie readers of agtalk would have been impressed with its plop plop plop as it was coming out of the valve. Turns out it takes 2 men 8 hours to power wash 7500g+ of syrup out of a tanker trailer.
Both of us were covered in brown goop. Hired man is quite clever most of the time, "well at least it doesn't stink" he said about mid way through.
We fed that stuff in lick wheel tanks all summer long. I need to get another load and get started again.
Yes still using your neighbors bagger. Seen one like it slightly newer come up for sale last fall over around Concordia, it had its own engine and was self propelled. I didn't find it soon enough and someone beat me to it. I really want a bigger Ag-Bag, or Versa, but im allergic to spending 200k. Nothing wrong with what I have, its just too small.
Pictures is a 9x250 of rye this spring.
