se ne | you didn't mention a basement so I assume that is not included. An addition of a bathroom and bedroom could be around $20000, doing a lot yourself. Fixtures in the bathroom, depending on what you want, could be $2000 to over $5000. If you put a concrete pad down then build on it or if you build it with a crawl space, like a deck, could be a difference of plus or minus $3000. Do you live in a town or county where you would need to have the process inspected along the way, i.e. plumbing, electrical, and such? How the roof line would attach to the house would also make a difference. Might be easier to get some estimates from local contractors, maybe they would pay your husband for helping out or would do more of the framing and technical, then he can finish the rest. | |
