Before every turnout. On partnership bulls that get a spring and a fall breeding season, that means twice a year. If you think it's too expensive or not worth it...you will eventually regret it. We had one that passed semen last fall that we found out had a broken penis when we watched him 30 days in. Semen check plus observe is always recommended
