You see a lot of these in sd. There are 20 axle double side dump trucks also.


Just left SD after traveling through a couple days. I saw quite a few hoppers in the configuration in your picture. Also saw quite a few 20 axle side dumps.

First of all, what can the 20 axle side dumps gross?

Second- the side dumps are the only thing I saw with that many axles. Are there other types of combos beside side dumps being used?

Last- I noticed the hoppers in your pic are running singles on some axles. In Michigan, its OK to run a single tire as long as it can match the weight rating for the particular axles allowable weight. Assuming its the same thing there?
