Archie,  what exactly do you think caused your issues with the lungs?  I find what you are saying very interesting but I also think the other poster has some merit as once the damage is done ,it’s done.  All the unprotected farm work with equipment and no cabs has wrecked havoc on my lungs and now paying the price.  I’d like to try this and would be wonderful to not cough every time I go outside.
