Eastern NE KS | The point is RU kills most everything and leaves open ground. Ground ready to sprout a mess-mash of broadleaf weeds to grow into your fence late this year and certainly next year. So you get to do it again, then. That's just the start, the open ground will erode with the next heavy rain. This make an ever growing rut under the fence line.
Now, if the fence is temporary and/or electric I somewhat understand using RU.
