Subject: RE: Cover crop

Colfax Indiana
We have worked it in and planted into it for years on purpose as a cover. Even years with a head in it. Amish call it green manure. We haven’t seen it re grow til late October. Can’t say ever had trouble cutting any beans this way. We have seen many benefits to this that we have found. Many years it holds the weeds off. Was tougher to do if it was planted at 100 pounds. We have taking it back to 60 pounds and planted mid November. It’s the internet and someone will be along and tell you that u can’t do this. But we have built fertility and organic matter this way
