I had issues with broken wires in the main wiring harness that goes over the center mast.  If I raised the boom up all the way, it would spray.  I would start lowering the boom mast and at a certain height, the harness would stretch or move enough that the bad wires would not make contact and it would stop spraying.  A new harness fixed the issue.
