SW Lower Michigan | You can either board at St. Ignace in the UP or Mackinaw City on the other end of the bridge. Both departures arrive at the same docks. I recommend taking Shepler's ferry for a Mighty Mac departure that takes a few extra minutes to take you directly under the bridge. Often the best part of my many trips. Also consider renting bikes or a carriage and touring the perimeter and interior of the island on your own. Also the carriage guided tour is worth the time too, always lots of fun. For history, a trip to the fort on the island and the fort and Mill Creek in and near Mac City are great. On the way, Kitch-iti-kipi springs near Manistique is a must see.
