Mackinaw island is a tourist trap.   Try Pictured Rocks, Kithictitippi, Tachomenon falls, and the Crisp point lighthouse.   Early August we are checking out the Porcupine Mountains.   Bring some caffeine for the Seney stretch.   Key Hole bar in Mackinac City is good.  The Soo is cool.   Plenty in the Kewenaw peninsula.  


Try a pastie while in the UP.  Supposedly Cut River Inn is good again take a hike under the Cut river bridge.   

If you come down US 31 you’ll be within 3 miles of me and briggsfm.   Mac Woods in Silver Lake is cool the Silver Lake Chicken shack has amazing wings.


Supposedly impressive ice storm damage around Gaylord. 


Sky Bridge at Boone Mountain cool for those who like heights.
