SW WI | I don’t think you can go wrong wherever you cross the river. I-90 is my neighborhood at Lacrosse. Lock and damn ( Dresbach, MN) right there off I-90 with good visitor viewing. Also crossing on 18 at PDC is good, State park right along there. I’m not familiar with the I-94 crossing.
If wanting to avoid Milwaukee or Chicago I would think getting yourself to Green Bay and going into the UP that way, ultimately Mackinac would be the best.
My wife and I enjoyed ourselves, going there a few years ago and always talking about taking it in, again. | |
