Subject: Another beat to death subject, replacing hydraulic pumps

East central Idaho
JD 1972 4020 serial number 267xxx with the FWA synchro range tranny. I removed hydraulic pump, last time it was rebuilt was 25 or so years ago and recently has needed attention after all the usual testing. This is a 4 cubic inch non-serial numbered pump, original to tractor. Got it tore down and the inlet valves seats had been flipped, so new ones needed, not a big deal, then the outlet valves showed scoring, galling etc, starting to have bad feeling, sure enough housing body is scored. I don’t have the ability, tools etc to go the oversized valve/hone the body cylinders route so need to buy replacement pump hence my question, what to replace with. A&I has bad rep on this site, read AGT reviews of kin tech mixed reviews, JD, for me too much money, found a pump from reliance, and wondered what folks thought of them? I have used reliance engine overhaul kits before but been awhile ago and didn’t know if quality had gone down hill. Thanks for your time
