Iowa | I'm no expert but that looks like it could be similar to the last one I had apart. 2 round cross sectioned snap rings hold the gland/guide.
I removed the external one (has green paint on it). Drove the gland in with a brass punch. This exposed the groove in the barrel for the internal snap ring (one on the gland with no paint) allowing you to install the orange filler band that comes in the kits from deere. Then you should be able to yank the whole rod/gland/piston assy. from the barrel.
The kits from deere don't come with instructions so I found a generic rod/piston torque chart online and used a dab of red loctite.
You should be able to go to the old deere parts site/ change the search function from model to part number and find the exploded view of your cylinder by the part number on the sticker on your cylinder.
