Dimensions and measurements aren't saved in the globe. Like if you had a tractor and planter hooked up and swapped globes on it, the hitch length and work point and all that isn't going to change since that's saved in the display and/or implement if new enough. 

Of course if you went between an integrated receiver and a "regular" one on the same machine then you'd want to make sure your receiver lateral offset is correct since one is off-center and one is in the middle.
