North Central Indiana | LOL that’s kind of a dumb statement. We’re talking averages here… if you know your yield for this year already then congrats to you. I do know based on historical context how things will generally go. Don’t you? Or do you just shoot in the dark and assume you’ll make somewhere between 0 and 300 bushels per acre and hope it ends up working? We aren’t “matched” but we find we can generally make a 1/2 mile pass and get headed back to the trucks before we need to be unloading. We’ve got a range in there but we try to shoot for close to 1/2 mile passes. If we can be in that range within a few hundred feet we don’t have to cut an alley and go around in a circle for the cart. In longer fields we cut an alley so we can unload going either direction but definitely prefer and find most efficient being able to be almost full at the end of a pass so you can unload the whole way back and end up with almost 2 combine hoppers in one shot on the cart. | |
