Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I agree, an InCommand 1200 with a Liquid Product Control Module can run your Raven NH3 very nicely. As the other poster mentioned you will need a switch box arrangement. If you have used the Liquid Module for something else you would have needed the switch box which will work fine for NH3. If you just have a loose Liquid Product Control Module you will need a switch box arrangement.

A switch box arrangement is needed so the operator can convey their wishes for turning the system ON/OFF and sections if they are present. There are two choices. They are functionally equivalent. I have one in my planter tractor and the other in my Hagie sprayer.

1) original and still widely used is the Ag Leader Auxiliary Input Module. This is a module that plugs into the Ag Leader small four wire CAN connector like the Liquid Product Control Module. Both modules could be located in the tractor. It is often smoother to mount the Liquid module on the bar. Various wiring harnesses allow both choices.

The Auxiliary Input Module requires an external switch box or special switch arrangement. Ag Leader makes a 10 section with Master switch box that can be used. Other arrangements are possible. I use this with my Hagie sprayer so I can reuse the original Hagie switches.

2) another choice is to use the Ag Leader SC110 CAN switch box. It contains the circuitry of the Auxiliary Input Module above a Master switch and 10 sub switches also. I use this in my planting tractor since it results in less cab clutter.

The two choices are functionally equivalent. One may be more convenient than the other depending on the situation.

Be aware that if you should do this you will need to create an appropriate configuration listing information about your bar. One question will deal with the flow meter cal. Use the suggested Raven meter cal for liquid divided by 10. Do NOT use the Raven NH3 suggested value.

When you chose Actual "N" as the product the Ag Leader will apply the conversion factor to convert from gallons to pound of Actual "N" for you. If you should enter the Raven NH3 cal number on the flow meter divided by 10, the conversion will be done twice. The result is that you only apply about 1/4 the amount you had in mind.

Hopefully your Raven NH3 system has two valves (one for control and another for ON/OFF) rather than the so called Fast system with only one valve. The Ag Leader can work with the Fast systems but I discourage the practice whether you are using a Raven 440 or an Ag Leader for control.

The Fast Close systems are cheaper and CAN work but they added grief and confusion is not worth it.
