Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I have no experience with your arrangement where the crop was planted with Ag Leader but harvested with Deere.

I have worked with the opposite situation when I worked as a Tech. That is a farmer planted his crops with a 20/20, Deere, CIH, etc. but harvested with an Ag Leader in the combine. The operator desired to be able to see which varieties he had planted where and have the system switch varieties automatically as he harvested the field.

That procedure involves using SMS to create a temporary Reference map. A reference map (file) is created for each field and saved to a memory stick.. When the operator goes to harvest that field, he informs the Ag Leader to load the proper temporary background map. The Ag Leade then shows the various varieties that were planted in that field as if the Ag Leader was involved with planting it. This variety information is temporary in nature and does not become part of the Ag Leader's memory.

This means that the operator would load the proper background reference map for the field being harvested and the Ag Leader would behave as if it had been involved with planting that field. If the operator leaves the field and goes to another field, he would need to load the appropriate variety reference map for that field If he returned to the first field another day to finish it, he would simply load that reference map again.

For us this is not necessary since We use the same Ag Leader display in the planting tractor, the Hagie sprayer and the combine. Our planting maps, spraying maps and harvest maps are all in the same display.
