If you want and can afford a different planter, buy it.
I was in a similar situation 15 years ago, working full time plus in town, and went from an 8 row 7000 to a 12 row 7300 vac to a 12 row 1760 vac (current planter). I don't regret it one bit. Getting done planting in 2 days is kinda fun.
