Eastern NE KS | You need to measure the distance between outside edges of two windows. Then buy a tedder that covers this distance center to center of its outside baskets. This allows you to tip the tender to any angle but still fluff the entire windrow.
Obviously if you lay your hay flat, then you need 2 x 18'.
My tedder use is on grass hay only. Perhaps alfalfa needs a gentler wedding. Would this make the width coverage different?
