I rotated cows and calves into a fresh draw yesterday. Even though it had been dry, this draw which was part of their winter sacrifice area, always has moisture and good grass. I love to see nursing cows in good grass and new calves playing with each other. Only started calving around May 1 but running 80% heifers! Good for rebuilding the herd but not good for beef sales. Here's a picture of a cow with her day old calf and a 2 week old calf starting to graze.
