I’ve often considered spreading my own dry. I do two year spread though and application charge is 7.50 an acre. Most say the savings are in sourcing and storing your own dry which I am not set up to do. No building for fertilizer storage and no semi to go get my own fertilizer either. Would it still be worth it for a guy like myself? My day job pays better than spreading would but some day I’d like the day job to go away. I’d also probably start spreading every acre every year at that point.
