| We have a Red planter that our tech CANNOT capture the UCM with his laptop to get it to update firmware.
It needs updating because every time power on the PRO700 is cycled, the planter thinks there is a right wheel speed sensor when there is NOT a sensor installed. All other settings remain when power is cycled. This caused me a LOT of trouble trying to put liquid out until we figured out what the problem was.
He's tried everything he can think of including bringing a different harness out and connecting to the planter WITHOUT the PRO700.
He can communicate with the UCM fine, see stored codes and other information, but it will NOT capture from his laptop to allow hime to upgrade firmware.
It's a 2020 model year 2160 with most probably the original firmware it came with.
He was able to update the PRO700 easily.
He's asked up the chain of command and they have not heard of such a problem either.
His and my suspicion is maybe the firmware on the planter is so old, the software he's trying to use from his laptop may be too new and there's a small bug or incompatibility somewhere.
Has anyone else had trouble updating very old 21XX planter firmware? | |
