East Central Nebraska
I am similar. Best corn test plot number I've had is 270 something planted with a 8 row white 6100 with a marginal SM 3000 monitor (I didn't count seed, jut showed that it was planting) pulled with a 8030 allis and picked with a N6 gleaner combine not to long ago and tough ground, but this was a sweet spot on that farm. Now I have a 12 row 6100 and a plethora of different tractors, and felt I was better off back then for sure and haven't topped that yield yet. Been close a few times. One thing for sure is these newer tractors are not nearly as dependable as my older ones were and that 8030 was pretty darn comfortable too. I could work on those older ones. But parts are starting to get tougher to find for uncommon stuff.
