I've heard of this. The reason is that Trimble kind of cheats on their NMEA messages to help with reverse sense. It's not technically following the NMEA standard, so it is screwing up the Cruizer. I remember seeing this on Viper Pro years ago, and Raven did update their software at some point to allow for this. I'm not sure if this update was ever done on Cruizer, but they may have. What's the version on the Cruizer? It may be worth updating to the latest (unless there's some reason not to) for it to resolve this.
I was able to get ahold of the Raven Tech hotline just now. I'm running 3.5.0 which Raven told me was the latest update on the Cruizer II. He also said that sometimes when the machine isn't moving it doesnt know where it's at and will loose signal which doesnt' seem correct to me. |
