Hearing about this brought back a lot of memories of the struggles my husband went through. He had regular checkups, yet at age 59 was discovered to have an aggressive form of prostate cancer even though it was caught early. 8 on the Gleason scale. Surgery, radiation, oral chemo, IV chemo over the next 10 years couldn't stop it and he died from it at age 69.
