NC IA | I had abut the same experience as roadranger. Had high PSA and next test was higher yet. Had the 'dreaded finger' test. My appointment was mid afternoon and the waste basket was full of blue gloves. When the doc came in I said "looks like you have had a busy day!" He smiled and replied "Thankfully, you are the last one of the day" We both had a good laugh!
I had a biopsy a week later with a Gleason score of 8. Not a pleasant experience, when it was over and sat up on the table the nurse asked how I felt. I said "violated!" She chuckled. I was 66 at the time and doc said "Average death age for white men is 76 and the cancer probably won't kill you for 10 years. But you are healthy and active, if you were my Dad, I would recommend removal and be done with it."
That was the route I went. It's been 2 years and my PSA tests have shown nothing suspect.
Biden either has a very aggressive kind, or at his age and mental health skipped the PSA test or decided to wait and watch and guessed wrong.
I have been hounding my friends to get in the doc and get that and other things checked out. I thought I was healthy until I went in and I plan on living past 76.
