| So if the uneven emergence was random, there'd be a bigger yield hit, but instead of random, it's more likely there's spots where the corn comes up later because of wetter soil conditions as one example. Because of areas of similar emergence with other areas of the field with different but similar emergence to their neighbors, I don't think your yield hit will be that significant.
I'll just throw out a less than 5% yield hit guess, assuming the later emergence areas aren't severely compromised. | |
