You can smell ammonia long before you get to a lethal concentration and it is lighter than air so it will rise and dissipate.
Natural gas lines are the same way you can smell the methane and it is significantly lighter than air so it will readily dissipate.
There is no way to add an smell to CO2 or change its density. That is what makes it completely different from anything else piped across the country | |
