Yes, go to Mt Vernon.
Also Ford’s theatre, holocaust museum, I like being at the Vietnam wall and Korea war memorial at night. I actually liked hanging out on the mall in the evening. Were in DC over Christmas time and we got lucky as the temps were in the 60s the whole week.
