New Brunswick, Canada | Hi, first time poster here and I have quite the story/predicament that we have been fighting with for YEARS and I’ve had it
We have a 2018 New Holland T7.230 SUPERSTEER that we bought new as a leftover in 2021. Tractor was “guidance ready” so we had our Trimble guy just install a TMX2050 screen & nav controller which tied into the New Holland system to run RTK. Long story short it’s close to sub inch but constantly weaving and not good enough for planting/hilling potatoes. Trimble has had us try every setting every TAP you name it didn’t work. I start doing my own research to find someone saying the king pin sensor CNH puts on from factory only reads rotation of king pin and not the extra movement of axle a supersteer has, and that a Trimble Autosense is the answer. Makes sense! I tell the technician who then says that he can’t install an autosense because the tractor is CAN based? I ask if he can just re plumb the entire tractor with the Trimble steering valve hoses wiring etc basically bi-pass any CNH stuff to make it completely Trimble so the autosense will work and they will not do it. They seem unsure of how to do it and half afraid of doing it. What now? Is there any other way? Why would CNH install a sensor that doesent even work with a supersteer from the factory? | |
