NW KS/ SC ID | 23.1-34 is probably going to be the best traction of the two, however economically it's not a wise choice.
20.8-38 is going to be cheaper to buy new. Hard to find used because everyone wants some for an old 4wd.
If you currently have 38" centers, you might consider having the wheels widened to accept a modern width size like 620, 710, or 800.
620/XXr42 is super common, if you can run step up wheels Michelin will approve a 18x42 wheel for use with their 620, Goodyear recommends a 20x42, but for step up wheels I'm only aware of 16 and 18 width. | |
