That is the expense. The guy here asked one of the systems people about their solenoid source years ago and was able to get them for 20 cents on the dollar. Later that changed. There are other sources that can be upgraded with better o-rings that will work good for years also for less money. He also completely made the wire harness for the sprayer. Again a talented person could make a good job out of it.

He also makes variable rate fertilizer systems that have more range than a Liquifire system and at a much less cost. They also just use of the shelf components.

Again your components cost $4,000 and marketing tells you they are special and you pay over $20,000 for them. That is $16,000 of pure profit of your components alone. Plenty of margin for enterprising people to make a system much cheaper that may even bring down the cost of the monopolistic national brands. That is the power of their marketing, not the superiority of what they are building.
